About One Acre Fund

One Acre Fund works to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. In Ethiopia, we engage farmers in agroforestry and community-based seed multiplication to increase farmers’ incomes and improving farming systems. Engaging with local actors at every step but bringing ideas from outside, we are making rural farming more market-friendly and environmentally sustainable. Our Ethiopian partner farmers have planted more than 45 million trees, produced over 2000 MT of improved teff seed and improved the futures of hundreds of thousands of their neighbors. In Ethiopia alone, our permanent team numbers over 150 with nearly 1000 rural seasonal staff supporting them. Our Ethiopia headquarters are in Addis Ababa and we have a large program office Bahir Dar, plus several smaller field offices. About the Role

You will handle procurement processes, track procurement of goods and services, ensure that adequate competition is achieved for procurements, and provide regular procurement updates to requesters. You will independently manage procurements, manage complex procurements, and support with other supply-chain activities.You will work in the procurement department and will be responsible for supplier sourcing, maintaining good working relationships with suppliers, quality controls, ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services.You will work closely with the logistics department and other requesting departments and report directly to the Procurement Specialist.You will work onsite, at our Addis location.

Responsibilities

Independently manage routine Addis-based procurements Prepare plans for procuring equipment, goods and services observing One Acre Fund procurement policies and procedures

Research potential vendors, compare and evaluate offers from suppliers, and maintain good working relations with vendors

Prepare bid analysis, purchase orders, and submit them for approval and conduct procurements accordinglyTrack orders, ensure delivery and review quality of purchased products

Proactively provide feedbacks for requesters

Conduct regular market research

Confirm the completeness of each bid document to ensure that all supporting documents are attached with the payment request

Manage complex procurements

Research and execute public tender processes for large purchases

Plan and oversee quality control of purchases or contracted production processes

Support with other supply-chain activities as needed

Research, purchase, and registration of company vehicles

Navigating the importation process for seed, equipment, or other items

Other related tasks as assigned by Manager or the Supply Chain Lead

A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university2+ years of experience in supply chainAbility to work independently
