Emegua (እመጓ) is an Ethiopian novel written by Alemayehu Wasse. The book is published in 2014 and focuses on Ethiopians’ faith and ancient wisdom.
Emegua is the first of a three-book series, followed by Zigora and Merbebt. The main character in the book sets out in the search of the holy grail. On this quest, he explores different monasteries of Ethiopia and their secrets. The book tries to revive the fallen spirit of Ethiopianism and illustrate the greatness of the ancient ethEthiopiansd their unexplored history. Throughout the book, the author stresses that we must embrace our past to be great again.
Apart from his writing Alemayehu Wasse is an environmentalist with a forestry degree and works at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental protection as a forestry expert.
