Efoyta (እፎይታ) in English, also known as “the count of monte Cristo”, is a classical French novel. It is written by Alexander Dumas and translated to Amharic by Teshome Damtew. Efoyta is one of the best 100 books ever written in the world.
It narrates about a Young sailor called Edmund Dant. This book shows us how this innocent sailor is fired from his job by his friends’ plot, how his best friend took his girl, and in the worst-case, how he goes to jail for the crime he didn’t commit. But Instead of becoming broken by these agonies, he becomes strong, gets out of jail, and gives everyone what they deserve.
Through this incredible story, the book tells us about the power of “patience, time, and silence.”
“ለማንኛውም ተንኮል ሁለት መፍትሄዎች አሁት፣ ጊዜ እና ዝምታ!”
