Ethiopia’s Tigray War & His Involvement

TPLF, which was the dominant political force for about three decades, sidelined by Dr. Abiy Ahmed with the aid of public support. After Abiy Ahmed took office in 2018, tensions began to rise between the Abiy led central Government, and TPLF ruled regional Government. These accumulated tensions in time erupted into war.

However, the immediate cause of this war was TPLF’s sudden strike on the Ethiopian military camp basing in the Tigray region. As a result, the country is still stuck in a deep humanitarian crisis and turmoil. Furthermore, Getachew is a propaganda expert. He has played a vital role in mobilizing ordinary citizens to take up arms and join the TDF.
